Description: Two views are shown, first from the bridge looking directly down onto the aircraft, then from the bow looking towards the stern. Between the two camera-views the Firth of Forth can be briefly seen with HMS Tiger at anchor. The aircraft is a single-seat Sopwith 1-1/2 Strutter. First the wooden platform is fitted out over the guns of B Turret, the sections fitting onto guide rails, then the turret is trained to starboard and the aircraft launched, then the platform is disassembled. At the end of the film, viewed from the bows, both forward turrets are trained to starboard and the guns elevated.
Demonstration launch of an aircraft from the B Turret launch platform of HMS Repulse at anchor in the Firth of Forth, summer 1918.
